World Book Fair starts in New Delhi today


Delhi : For All book lovers, 23 rd World Book Fair starts in Pragati Maidan today.The Fair is organised by National Book Trust, India, an apex body of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development.The Fair is co-organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the nodal agency of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce for promoting the country's external trade.

Over 1,100 exhibitors from India and abroad will display books at around 2,100 stalls. There are about 23 countries displaying books in the Foreign Pavilion.

The fair will include special exhibition of books on various aspects of folk and tribal literature, culture and exhibits of art and crafts.

France, a country famous for its literary culture will be the guest country of honor with focus on "its publishing industry and its contemporary literature through a large contingent of publishers, authors and scholars". Discussions, conversations, interactions with the country's publishing fraternity, food, music and culture will be the focus of France’s presentation.

The regional participation will include 100 language publishers. NBT, in association with the College of Art, will mount a collective exhibition on Book Art. A pavilion exclusively for youth and children has been set up at the fair and will draw schoolchildren with a variety of events, including an authors-illustrators' corner. NBT has also tied up with the Kolkata-based Advaita Ashram to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at the fair.

The World Book Fair Author's Corner : Publisher where education, literature and cultural are bringing traditional and new books, such as the God Particle numerous new books on the subject and Sksiyt like Steve Jobs Book Fair is coming.On Saturday, the 98 year old writer - journalist Khushwant Singh's book 'There Is No God "Hindi translation for" God is not for sale' title is coming from.Many popular books for children and young people in schools, colleges and NGOs small - small plays and other events will be organized.Publisher of Hindi literature and fiction novels for young writers are getting priority.
